emissions test

I have an 2007 R56 Cooper S and received my first notice for an emissions test. I've heard that sometimes minis don't pass, is this true? Should I be concerned about something in the mini?

Thanks,
Jorge

Don't pass by how? Blowing the threshold of too many unburned HC's?
If a "stock" 2nd-Gen can't pass, I'd take that up with MINI of USA and see what they response is to what's considered 'clean running'.

Go in and have it tested right away; because if there's a failure, you have time to adjust / fix any issues before the end of the month.

Well since I have an alta exhaust, a helix intercooler, BOV, and just installed a the JCW intake for the stock intake for performance mods I was just wondering.

The only major concern I would have is the exhaust. If it's a cat-back, you're in the clear.
If you replaced the catalyst with a race-design or gutted it, then there's a good shot it'll be a problem.

The BOV may have some slight side affects, like running a little rich, but the ECU should compensate for such.

Its a cat-back. Oh, one more thing I had an ECU tune by WMW at MITM. Thanks for your input.

My 1st gen passed with the quick pass at the Air Research place here in Longmont. And what I mean by quick, there is the standard Dyno emmisions, that takes a while as they go up and down the speeds, and then there is a quick pass, where certain cars only do about a quarter of the test that the others do, and my 2004 did that, soooooo..... your 07 turbo should pass with flying colors.

Cool. This is starting to make me feel much better. I'll be taking it to the emissions test center on Holly&County Line RD.

Well I went to the emissions test today, and the guys there wanted to know what mods I had, lots of complements on the mini. They were really into it. Anyway, it passed with flying colors.

Thanks,
Jorge
