Since I'm still on vacation today I drove most of the route (I didn't take the detour to Wondervu). Roads were good, some wet spots from the snow melting on Lefthand Canyon.

There is also a slight change from the posted route, which we will go over in the drivers meeting.

Looking forward to the drive tomorrow with all the MINIs

10.5 hours and counting, and I still cant get this idle to stablize! What am I doing wrong? If I wouldn't of nailed the rest of the tune spot on, TOBZ would be on it tomorrow. Ah who am I kidding, a good run through the hills is better than watching my car on a dyno any day. Maby its the Guinness but, I think its time to give my laptop a rest. Sorry you cant make it Rick, I will have pic's and video at the April meeting.

Oh and MINICOLORADO (I THINK THATS WHO YOU ARE) I have a present for you.

I'm bringing my DAD along for the ride. We will be leaving the house in about 15min.

Fun Run! Thanks everyone for such a great day, and especially to Jamie for setting the whole thing up.

Hey guys, slight problem. Long story short, we need to do the second half of the run again!
You see when we left the cafe, I put mt GoPro back on the bumper, turned it on, and hit the shutter button to take a video of the second half. When I hooked the camera to the TV when I got home, the second "VIDEO" turned out to be a single still picture!

That is a video I would really like to have, and it's just not the same going alone, so I have decided we are doing it again.

Not to mention there is entirely too much gas left in my car, and I cant deal with that.

 

Great run and it was nice to meet everyone. Thanks for making our first run a great one.... even if we were late! Great pics Don. Special Shout out to Jamie for taking Me and Lindsay on an extended run! We cant wait till the next outing! ~ J&L

 

Glad to have you guys, I was going to go on thr extended leg, but the pop's wanted to get home.

Thank you Jamie for putting this ride together and thank the little leprechauns for the GREEN BEADS and SHAMROCK! That was a lot of fun!

Rich left to NM after this ride and the driver's side pilar on his blue MINI blew off on I-25...a truck drove over it and it exploded into pieces

Sorry Rich lost an A piller, they are pretty inexpensive, much less than $50.

 

Wow! By Don's and Teena's photos (and video), looks like everybody had fun -- and a good turnout! Very good organizing and leading job, Jaime. I am green with envy.

Wow... What a great time!

Thanks everyone in 5280 for putting this together. Now, if I can only get my wife to let go of the hand-hold.... She wasn't used to doing a club ride in the mountains! Some of those twists were a bit fast (just the way I like them)...

 

It was all Jamie's putting-together and you can do it too!

If anyone else is interested in creating a ride or has an idea, feel free to start a new post here on NAM....list the date and time, route details, etc. or if you can get something to me the week before the newsletter goes out (I send it the 1st day of the new month), I'll be happy to include it.

I took Jay & Lindsey up Beer Creek to Paramlee Gulch, I felt bad they drove up from the Springs & missed the 1st half.

I'll do another ride for April 16th, if there are no objections.

Jamie, April 16th looking open for the club calendar. I am working on the newsletter now so if you want to get me something by Friday 3/25 at the latest, I can get it in the April newsletter.

There might be something submitted for April 30 but that still leaves 3 other weekends in April....Anyone else?

 

We are looking forward to the next run as well... The wife had a death grip on the hand hold as well! but the non terrified smile she had told me she was having fun! The Countryman is heavier and had a lil more roll than our R56 but i was impressed non the less! see you all soon!
