engine torque mount insert
Torque Arm Insert
_Yes, I had WAY MOTOR WORKS install one at AMVIV7 last March. The shifting is much crisper and maybe it is my imagination but I think I get a chirp of the wheels between 1st and 2nd on a just a Cooper. I read an article about it back in January/February and I can't remember where but it said it was good for your MINI and just better than OEM.

Yap, NM engine torque arm insert (ETAI) Way Motor Works carries them as well as Moss Mini for the same price. I had mine installed by Peak Eurosport in Wheatridge, CO. I love it cuz I can feel it being more crisp on the shifting.

V or O?
Make sure you know which engine mount you have. On the R56, MINI went from a motor mount with a V shaped insert to one with the O shape. My MCS has a build date of 04/07 and it has the V-shaped one.
Here's a link to Mini-Madness that shows the difference between the two shapes: Engine Mount Bushing
I do have an O-shaped NM motor mount insert available for sale if someone would like it. I bought it before I found out that I have the V-shaped one. Brand New - $50
Cheers,
Tom
