MTTS 2010 - Denver

This is going to be huge:

http://www.motoringfile.com/2010/02/...2010/#comments

MINI USA’s rolling festival of all things MINI is back for 2010. After sitting on lots of details over the past few months we can finally report what we know.

After much deliberation MINI USA has decided to combine the best parts of the last two events and combine them. The event will start with a handful of events around the country in major cities. From this point there will be a rally (aka a cross-country road trip similar to MTTS ‘06) from the starting point to a central location. What we can finally confirm that that central location will be Denver Colorado. Once there attendees will be treated to a two day festival including many of the activities we’ve seen at both MTTS and MINI United over the years. We expect this to culminate in a headlining concert on the last night. This final festival will take place on August 13th through the 15th.

We’re still getting details on the starting points and their associated dates but rest assured you’ll hear it all here first.

And one more thing, expect to see something not seen on US streets before. Both on the rally routes and at the event.

As you would expect MotoringFile and White Roof Radio will also be providing exclusive daily coverage of the event starting with the kick off parties and ending in Denver. So, even if you can’t make it, we’ll have you covered.

If you have attended MTTS in the past you already know how cool it is. This years is shaping up to be the best yet.

Stay tuned to MotoringFile and White Roof Radio for updates as they happen.

I wonder where they will be going. I hope a stop is near me so I could tag a long for a little while. I always wanted to do this. Plus MOTD, and AMVIV.

So now we can go public as well. MINIs In The Mountains (August 12-15) and MTTS will be joining forces so to speak. Look for mutual events in Winter Park on Friday and in Denver on Saturday. We will keep our website updated with all the news (www.MinisInTheMountains.com) so check it frequently. In the meantime I would suggest you book your rooms in Winter Park soon to take advantage of our great rates. Winter Park is just an hour from Denver and the drive down is awesome - this is the place to be for MITM and MTTS.

Plus - and this is big - registration in MITM will get you into MTTS as well!

So maybe I'm being too obvious with this question, but now that MTTS registration has opened up:

http://www.eventjack.com/registratio...s2010/faq.html

...I'm thinking of it this way - I can register for MITM for $20 and get access to both events, or spend $5 more for just MTTS?
Will I still get access to all MTTS stuff, or is this simply getting me admission only?

Your MTTS credentials received free with your MITM registration will be identical to those costing $5 more. Plus you get a free shirt with MITM!
Register for MITM and MTTS will waive the fee for their event - it's just that simple.

Join in SF, LA, KC, Dodge City, AZ, Chicago, PA, NY, Atlanta or any where in between and participate with MTTS with your free credentials from MITM.

The reverse of this is not true however - a MTTS credential will not get you a free MITM registration. It only works one way.

At the MTTS 2006 event, there were many handouts at the starting event. If we register for MITM will we get all MTTS items/activities at our selected starting location and all overnight locations along the MTTS routes or does the MITM registration only get us the MTTS Colorado items/activities?

I believe you will get access to all the items/activities for MTTS. I read that once the event starts,
and maybe for a few days prior, you will be able to get up to the minute info on twitter.

I decided because some of the money going to MINI USA will be donated to charity,
and that I want MINI to do MTTS again in 2012, I would go ahead and sign up with them as well.

My buddy and I will start from San Francisco and and do all of MTTS West to Denver.
Once we get to Winter Park we will stay there for all the events.

Hope to see you along the way...

As Sir Kazlot did, many are choosing to register for both events. This is totally fine but not necessary. After sending out a permission email to our registered motorers I send periodic updates to MINI USA with first and last names, emails and number of badges purchased. When checking in to MTTS (here, SF, NY or anywhere between) they will then cross-reference with our registration list and hand you free credentials for each MITM badge.
They have assured me that all MTTS info will be available on their Facebook page as well as Twitter so by not going through the normal MTTS registration process you will not be missing updates.
Keep in mind that registration for MTTS does not get you registration in MITM and our free event shirt.
Hope this helps.

Chuck

MINIUSA.com has updated with a banner for MTTS, and now going to minitakesthestates.com has the updated info/links to register properly.

MTTS add in last Thursdays WESTWORD, page 23.

MINI Takes the States Festival
Featuring Blues Traveler, Mathew Moon, Rayland Baxter, Fox Street All Stars, 18 South (featuring Shawn Camp & Holly Williams) and the Pat McLaughlin Band.

Mini drivers from across the country gather at Infinity Park for a day of live music, test driving, fun zone activities, shopping in the Mini Emporium, a BMX stunt show and more. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Is this and the concerts all open to the general public or just those that register for MTTS?
