Looking forward to this little gathering.

I have two add-a-circuits/fuse on the way, should be in Monday's mail.

Really do want to get rid of my clutter.

And use my back seat, perhaps.

@Mike, how is the BBK working out? Want to see how it all worked out for you. I will take a picture or two, if you write the article.

Don:

BBK is doing AOK. Took a few hard stops to break in the pads/rotors though.

Intercoolest,

I will have one tech who will do alignments, and can do rotor machining on the car. There won't be a charge for the machining, but you may want to tip the tech.

One of our techs has compression and leak-down test tools, and you should be able to use them. I assume you know how to do it. If not, I can help.

How north are you talking and what time? If not to early, perhaps.

I will be coming down from Louisville area.

Anywhere north of Colorado Springs, I'm thinking we'll meet around the Park Meadows area. Meeting there at 7 would get us down south right around 8 but I'm all for leaving later if anyone has any suggestions.

I don't have a problem with leaving later, I just put that time out there because it will get us there right when it starts. Lets see if someone else chimes in with some interest.

Jamie? I know you're planning on heading down there, any ideas?

I've got some Bryan and I'll bring it with me. I'm all out of Langka stuff though so we'll just use a toothpick and be real careful.

Joe, I'm willing to meet down here any time you want to head down. I would suggest the Starbucks on Yosemite & Park Meadows Dr. You pick the time.
Oh and bring a map.

I have some of that Langka stuff.........I'll bring it. Seeing how it's done will make it easier for me to do it by myself.

Thanks Chuck. No need to be real careful, you will understand when you see the "ding".

It is a full service shop, but Bahman should be able to answer that.

So with the 6" to 12" that we are supposed to get, are we still on?

And your MINI will drip dry, bring some microfibre to do the final dry and your windows.

That is my plan unless is is 12 inches and sticking.

Import Auto will be open for the DIY, regardless of the weather. I thought MINIs were front wheel drive and they did fine on snow.

We have an Autologic analyzer ($40K+), that does BMWs and MINIs up to 2006. It will be available. The Tech who can use it will have his first priority as alignments and rotor machining; time permitting, he can do the airbag reset. Pls be aware that some manufacturers do not allow resetting the airbag light due to saftety reasons, unless the root cause has been addressed. I don't know if MINI falls in this category.

Just wanted to be sure, the springs are painted now, and everything else is ready, so see you guys Sat morning. I will bring the weights I brought last time for anyone besides me that wants to use them for an alignment.

My root cause for my airbag light being on is I was doing a stereo install and turned the ignition on with a seat removed from the car so it was unplugged.

It doesn't look like I will be bringing the classic for show and tell. I have a bunch of things for the R56 to install - rear control arms, BOV, boost/temp gauge.

Weather Update

Hi, Y'all.

The Colorado Springs weather is not treacherous. It actually stopped snowing around noon, and hasn't done much since. I undesrtand, however, that the section of I25 around Monument Hill, is closed, and that Denver area is really getting it.

I plan to have the shop open tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. If enough brave souls show up around then or shorlty thereafter, we'll have the facilities available until 3:00 or when the last car leaves. If no one shows up, we'll close it.

I will send another update later on this evening to apprise the Denver area folks of the weather conditions in this side of the universe.

Thanks Bahman,

That will push our convoy start time back to about 8:00 for those of us still interested in braving the roads.

As of right now I'm still planning on going unless we get a bunch that don't want to try it.
