Impromptu Loveland Dinner/Photoshoot/Gathering - Tonight (May 21) - 6:30 Hey all....
Posting this up for anyone that would like to come out for an impromptu get together/dinner/photoshoot tonight. Nothing formal, just to get together and have some fun with other car nuts. We will be meeting in Centerra by Red Robin on the south side of the building. Look for my Santorian Blue B5 A4 and hopefully some other Euros. We will be meeting up at 6:30, talking, getting shots, and going to dinner around 7. Hope to see you there!

I could never find this thread again, until this morning. I'm just not real bright
So, I'll paste what I posted to another thread (in parenthesis) and see if anyone knows where this sweet MINI came from.
"Don't know if who ever I spotted on Sunday comes here but just in case I'm saying hi.
It was the sweetest little Cooper. It was around 1963-69 from what I can tell by looking them up. It had a red body, white roof, wide tires and took the airport exit.
I'd been out just driving and giving Minikins a good work out What a thrill to see that other little MINI go. I was the red/black MINI behind a white car that was behind you for a few miles."
Anyway, everyone have a good time in Loveland.

 

Wow, wish I could. Still in TN, back next Thursday if all goes well. Should be up for the Grand Opening of MOL.

This Friday Longmont is putting on an event to take a picture from space of cars spelling out "Longmont (form a heart) Google" This is part of trying to get Google to choose Longmont for their Gigabit trial network for a city. Lets over run the event with MINIs! Below is the invite I received.

First of all, we want to thank you for registering your support for the Google Fiber initiative. We really appreciate you taking the time to do so.

We want to invite you to a special Google Fiber Event this Friday, June 18th, at 11:00am at Silver Creek High School on Nelson Road. Come and be part of a historic event.

We have arranged for Digital Globe to take photos from space of a message we are going to spell out with cars. We need blue, red, green and yellow cars. Even if your car is not one of these colors come and be part of this historic event and show your support for Longmont to be considered for Google's fiber project.

Also, you may recall, RidgeviewTel intended to award an iPad to one of you lucky registrants. We will be awarding the iPad at this event on Friday. If you are there, we may hand that iPad to you!

Only what I saw via facebook and today's 11AM new on TV, Channel 7. (ABC), I think.

Google should give you some news events.

 

This was cool, Teena and I were the only MINIs that attended. BLU-BY-U is in the bottom left of the first G, and RUDEBOX is in the top right part of the hearts cleft, with Teena and I standing near RUDEBOX. They had to turn away a lot of people. Teena made it over for lunch, and she was the 2nd to last red car in the Heart, a Viper showed up after her, and he was the last. I got in early enough to be part of the first G in Google
