True story, my oil pan gasket had to be replaced (under warranty, thankfully). I'll have to look at my paperwork and see when that was.

I figured that's the reason yours went. I never checked my oil before seeing this, I now check it every time I get gas.

Good idea. I'm doing that too now. While I enjoyed and learned a lot doing my swap, I'm not in a hurry to do it again. Lol

Bought my used 2005 in January. I've had the oil pan gasket replaced and waiting to see if rear seal leak is what could be a problem now. Changed all the filters and I keep a close eyed on everything. Love my MINI.
