ok, if you're listening Rick... If we are on heavy time line, I understand just tossing it out there. Map is attached also. Looks like the straight road between "A" and "B" is planned. :(

My name is Bahman, and I live in Colroado Springs (Kissing Camels Area). I plan to go to the drive this Sunday, and would be delighted to meet you at NLT 8:15 at the Shell Station at SW quadrant of I-25 and Fillmore (Exit 145).

You can reach me via email (bahman@localtopshop.net) or my cell at 214-662-4856 to firm-up plans.

Bahman

OK people I need to close this event so I can order food. You have until I go to bed tonight to get you name on the calendar. Otherwise you can still do the ride but if you try to do the picnic you'll be taking food from the mouths of rule following members. That would be bad form indeed.

Chuck, I'm going to make the drive up with you guys but may not be able to make the picnic. I'll certainly bring a dessert(s) though. Thanks.

Oops, thought that the coast was clear but my other half reminded me that we already have a prior commitment Sunday. Sorry for the confusion.

I appreciate the offer, Bahman, but unfortunately we're not going to be able to make it, or looks like anything this month afterall. Hopefully we'll be settled in to our new place, and my new unit to be able to do something in November...if there is anything going on.

I hope everyone has a great time. Maybe we can have a Springs get together so my wife and I can meet others...just a thought. Still learning about the Springs.

Have a great drive all!!!

David

I'm sorry, but I am backing out of tomorrow's ride-picnic. I just got home after a day up to Idaho Springs and Central City area and the thought of taking off tomorrow for an even longer drive to the same place no longer appeals to me. Please donate my barbeque to an extra person who decided to attend at the last minute...or a very deserving dog.

Ok, I looked at the map for the starting point in the beginning of the post and it is near Deer Creek and Wads, and the map from the Calendar is at the park and ride up the street. Where are we meeting?

Since no one has responded by now Rich I say we start the trend and meet at the park and ride.

Last time we started here there were so many bikes that by the time we pulled forward enough we were well down from the Wadsworth & Deer Creek intersection. With luck and pink day there will not be so many bikes today.
Turn on Deer Creek from Wadsworth and either:
1. Find a length of road long enough for 20 MINIs (if you are the first one there).
2. Drive down Deer Creek until you see 19 MINIs (if you are last one there).

Don't forget radios on Channel 7 sub 21

Of course you can ignore all the pictures of bean -- I had to take a bunch of pics cause he looks so good with all the fall colors! Lots of other stuff to look at and take if you'd like to!

Thanks Vicki, great pics. I hope everyone had fun. A huge MINI5280 thanks to Tim and Lisa for hosting our picnic at their beautiful homestead. A bit on the chilly side but the fire felt good, conversation was good, colors were good and the food was good. Thanks to everyone that came out and for those of you that were no show, you can pick up your BBQ at my house.

Now - On to Yalla Yalla!

Enjoyed the drive and had a great time at Tim and Lisa's place - it was amazing. Thank you for hosting! Even though it was chilly, the bonfire was great!

Here are several pics from the drive and the picnic. We should send pics of our MINIs with the changing tree colors to 9News.

Great pics Teena. I like it when you and Rich share a MINI. I get much better pictures that way.

Very nice pictures, you all missed some great racing on Saturday and Sunday. I know I missed a good BBQ and a fire pit with good friends.

I think I saw a few MINIs coming and going, if you were there I hope you enjoyed the Sprint races, they were fun.

Sunday was cold on the corners but the cars keep up a good pace. Some very interesting cars were out this weekend.

I will post a link after a bit.

I don't think I have ever seen Chuck without a hat!

Sorry I missed it, and the next one, and the next...
