For those of you who are interested, here is this year's BBQ Contest schedule in Colorado (and a bit of Wyoming). Attending these events is great fun, especially if you believe in eating tasty animals (Fish are animals, right???). In any case, each contest is an event, and there is even room for you if you want to learn to JUDGE BBQ contests. Judging is free to you and therefore, the BBQ is free to you too. All contests are sanctioned by the KCBS Kansas City BBQ Society www.KCBS.us Perhaps even Chuck will arrange some rides to take advantage of these events:

Please plan to join me for one or more of these fine events. If you need information on getting certified to JUDGE, go to the event site for that info. Generally, the judges class is the Thursday night before the event. Then you work, and eat, for free.

Hmm - no word on the Frisco BBQ Festival then? I remember we did a ride up there a few years ago and it was a blast. I'd be up for rides to some of these (except that one in Indiana!)...

 

I should know, I go to that one and judge there, too. Good BBQ.

BTW, the deal in the Nashville, IN one is just for my own (self) entertainment. Wanted to see if anyone was paying attention. I grew up right near there, around places like Nashville, Bean Blossom, Stony Lonesome, Stone Head, Story, Needmore, Point Idalawn, Pikes Peak (go figure), Surprise, and Seymour (home of John Cougar Mellencamp or whatever he calls himself this year).
