GBSHF Picnic and Ride 3:00 PM 9/28/08
Thanks so much to those that made it. The weather was great (besides the hurricane force wind gust - Ingrid, I hope your head is OK), the food was great (I'm having a post-cookie crash) and the company excellent.
BTW, here is a photo from the morning run:

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that helped me maker sense of my new kite. With those gale force winds we're lucky to have gotten it all together without incident. And she flew great (when the wind cooperated).
Sorry we were late, but still glad we came. Good bye summer, hello fall! Let the motoring continue! I think the season for MADMEN is quickly approaching, what say you Rick?

Kites and flying tents
Yet another dimension was added to '5280 gatherings -- kite flying! I enjoyed flying the shark next to Jonathan's large "Boulder" kite and Jacob's pirate ship. The tent wanted to get in on the act too and almost became fully airborne. Sorry about that. Thanks to all who participated and helped with the arrangements. The morning ride to Mt Evans (Summit Lake) was fun too! Here are some photos of the picnic from Kendall.
Goodbye summer, but not goodbye to various '5280 gatherings.
Rick
