Since the meeting is in the meeting room and they are serving food don't you think it would be a good idea to leave the dog at home. Don't put the dealership on the spot by asking to bring the dog. And if others brought dogs (as was suggested) that would be a disruption for everybody. There are dog events in town, but this is not one of them.

Who died and made you God? This is supposed to be a fun thing for us to blog on here with other people, not order people around by throwing your rude opinions at people. I cannot believe you actually own a MINI !!! Everyone I've talked to who owns one is NOTHING at all like you. Knock it off !!!

No problem at all. We never go where we're not wanted. I'll go remove my name now.

No big deal -- I have a hard time making these things anyway. In fact, I haven't made one yet. This would have been my first one, but I'm going to pass this time. I get up to early in the am anyway.

My original post about Bailey coming was in jest because she loves to go to Schomp (or just about anywhere.) Some folks do not have a sense of humor I guess.

You put the president of the club and the dealership on the spot. Common sense should have provided you with the answer. It was clear in the announcement that the meeting would be upstairs in the meeting room and that food was being served. I didn't order anyone around. I voiced my opinion, and it was not rude. Someone had to speak up. I don't believe I will attend if the meetings are going to the dogs, so to speak.

of course not -- I brought three Java Monster Mean Beans with me (and I shared them.) They were in a cooler in my boot along with Bailey's water and her water bowl. I didn't have a need to purchase anything from Starbucks, but my friends made purchases. They went inside and took their two year old daughter with them.

just checking. Are you my mom?

I didn't see your name on the list of attendees when I was removing my name. After all your fussing about nothing I sure hope that you get to attend. Wouldn't want you to be left out in the cold or anything.

I think we should all just chill a bit.
Vicki, you don't want to miss this meeting with the ride presentations - come if you can.
Pete, I'm guessing you are a new member of MINI5280 or are you a member? In either case you must understand that sometimes jokes & sarcasm do not type well. Something may not be read as a bit of humor even though it was intended as such.
BTW, here in Denver at least all Starbuck's outside sitting areas are dog friendly. Now cats, that's an entirely different matter.

I am not a member but was considering attending the meeting. As president, you should have checked with the dealership and responded that it would not be acceptable to bring the dog to this meeting in the conference room. You passed the buck. This ladies question was not answered. I have been attending car club meetings and events for 35 years and never encountered dogs in a monthly meeting. I am aware that dogs are welcome at Starbucks.
I also am not suprised (in this day and age) that someone would bring drinks in a cooler to share with friends while sitting outside at Starbucks taking up seating provided for paying customers. Starbucks won't do it, but she should be ask to move along. The responces to my comment was rude and immature.
I hate to miss the chant for Bailey, that Mrs.Bean proposes, but I will not attend your meeting, nor join the club.

....uhh.... right.

So um, like I said... I'll be there to try and knock socks off with my presentation. I'm looking forward to that detailing (though will understand if I'm outdone by another). Good luck everyone!

I will try to make it in my 08, because I don't think the classic will be too much fun driving up from Ft. Carson. No promises because the Army likes to work me hard these days, but I will try.........

AGREED!!!! North american motoring is a place to have fun and interact with other MINI/mini enthusiast not a place to belittle, offend, or disrespect other users. I think that scribbledpaper and pete should both still come to the meeting regardless of either of their views on pets at starbucks. Why are you not going to support MINI5280 witch does GREAT things for the MINI community here in denver.(ie. MITM, Drives, Meetings, the list can go on forever) my suggestion is put your differences aside and enjoy the very thing that got you both here, your much loved MINI.
