Welcome to Amarillo, MTTSers!
Welcome to Amarillo, MTTSers!
Just want to welcome to Amarillo fellow MINI drivers.
Between Albuquerque and Amarillo, especially after crossing TX/NM stateline, be prepared for some long stretches of construction (one-lane/45mph). Don't know of any flagman stops, just kind of slower travel.
Any questions about Amarillo and vicinity, please lemme know. Be glad to help!
You'll find my electric blue '04 S under the Blue Sky sign at I-40 & Western, a good place to stop.

Hi, Ian --
I don't think you'll get rubble thrown up on your MINI on the I-40 construction, but there is a good possibility of gravel hitting the windshield, especially if you're too close to 18-wheelers.
Blue Sky is our authentic Texas burger place, not a tourist trap. We're right on I-40 & Western about 3 miles from the western city limits. I'll be there in my MINI to say howdy.
Look forward to seeing you!
