BNIB: r53 Radiator Fan (SOLD)

Category: Drivetrain
Price: $50
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R50, R52, R53
Location (Region): Midwestern
Item Condition: Brand New

I have a brand-new-in-box TYC radiator fan, part number 621080, which should be a substitute for part 17117541092. As you can see, the box has never been opened and is in great condition.

I had it for my r53 due to low speed resistor failing, but never got around to installing it and my r53 is gone now. Asking is $50, make an offer. Motivated to move it, buyer pays shipping. Located in Chicago.

This has been sold.

TYC is one of the better brand replacement part, wouldn't be suprised if it was same as OEM at half the price. When I purchased one many years ago, it also came with lifetime warranty....and 4-5 years later the eBay seller honored that warranty minus labor. I think this once fits 2002 - 2003 MCS ? Something about connector's or prongs not being the same for face lift models
....

I believe it fits all r53. I bought it for my 2005, I haven't heard of any connector issues. Partsgeek has it listed as fitting 2003-2008, and realoem has the same radiator fan part number (17117541092) listed as from 03/2003 up.

Bump for a cheap fan for those with blown resistors. Make an offer!

Before I retired from being a MINI parts advisor, there were indeed two availble from MINI depending on the year.

Up to 03/2003 - Part no # 17101475577 .
From 3/2003 - Part no. # 17117541092.

There's a plug difference....or harness confliction if memory serves..maybe they've included both plugs or theres a modification needed for the 2002 MCS's to attach the 092,

I checked ECS Tuning...they still show two as well...
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...g/17117541092/ - 03/2003 up.
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...g/17101475577/ - To 03/2003.

That makes perfect sense. Picture 2 shows manufacturer part number ending 092. So I guess it should fit 03/2003 and up, but not 02/2003 and prior.

I would say that's prob correct...Not that we see very many of those early ones still around....most are prob parts cars by now. Even the shift boxes diff...MINI had different
vendors for those early MINI's, somewhat of a PITA to work on.
