Hi Mini Motorists,

I have a JMTC Stage 5 Mini Cooper Countryman R60 Clutch and Solid Steel Flywheel. I purchased this set 2 years ago when I had a really unfortunate service experience at Checkered Flag Mini with my 2014 Mini Cooper Countryman JCW. The service department agreed to install this clutch set, and shortly after it was installed, I started to hear some groaning from the transmission (typically related to the slave or master cylinder having a lack of pressure, or the clutch being low/bad). Since I knew the clutch was fine, and the service was done at the dealership, I called and asked for it to be looked at. Long story short, and a rather ugly letter sent to mini headquarters later (really hated doing that), I ended up with the Stage 5 clutch out of the car and the OEM back in with a replaced slave cylinder as well (it was bad).

I never got around to having the service done to put the clutch and flywheel back in. I've had it sitting around in the boxes for the last 2 years. When it was in the car, and the noises were happening I put on maybe 50 miles. All driving while the clutch was in minimal, or was to put it on a trailer to tow it to the dealerships and back.
