2004 R53 diff from the Getrag 6-speed transaxle. Car build date was 10/2003. This was removed in fully working condition when I upgraded to a Quaife LSD in 2008. It has been stored indoors ever since, under climate control, with a light spray of WD-40 to prevent surface rusting (although there is a tiny amount as you can see in the photos). The gear faces are perfect: no rust, chips, or pitting.
