SOLD**OEM Differential w/ Phantom Grip 2002 MCS** SOLD

4/17: SOLD TO PARTY WHO WISHES TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS
Found this in my garage while cleaning out.
2002 MCS OEM diff. w/ Phantom Grip. It was installed by Helix back in the day when they did the twin-charge. Ended up going with a Quaife unit because we thought the PG was making too much noise. Turns out the Quaife unit made "too much" noise too. In retrospect the PG may not have been making too much noise but simply is that way in the MINI.(?) I must say I preferred the way the PG put the power down over the Quaife lsd.
Make me a cheap offer and it yours...at least enough to buy a six pack of good beer. It will cost more to ship it but that's at cost so it shouldn't be too bad.

I have a question if you do not mind, but not buying. I have a PG installed in my 02 and running around 200whp, does yours show much for wear? What kind of horse power were you running with it. Just wondering how much I can put the GP thru, I have a couple more mods left to install.

Thanks,
Scott

The Phantom Grip will take it...

but from other race users they say change the tranny oil more freqently to get rid of little slivers and the like from the PG doing it's job....

Scott, It was an alleged 302 hp give or take. Faster than may modified STI, that's for sure.

Dr. O, I think you are probably right about the more frequent fluid changes and active removal of shavings. I had a couple of magnets down there too as Voo-doo therapy.

Thanks to three of you for pm's and offers. I need to weigh it sometime today to figure out shipping cost and see how much beer $$ I'll have left over. In between 60 mph wind gusts and driving rain I'll get out to the garage this morning and do that.

EDIT: OK, so this has not been sold to Chisss.
After some research he has decided that the Diff w/ PG doesn't meet his needs
and has retracted his offer to purchase. No problem, I'm flexible.

I will be pm'ing others who made offers. Thanks.
