For the Gen 2 MINI models, this lumbar section mounts to the seat frame and comes attached to the spring mat on the front seats. Does include handwheel & handwheel cup which is attached.

For those who are interested. I had a local upholstery shop do this mode on my 2011 Mini. It really helps and you cannot tell it did not come from the factory that way. I had standard non sport vinyl seats in my 2011 clubman and bought a set of front seat covers that were leather and cloth from a Roadster owner. I had the new seat covers (which has the sport foam attached) and the lumbar kit install at one time. Much nicer . Cost of labor for install was 300.
