I'm looking to install the Aero Kit front bumper and side skirts on my R53, and I've been looking seriously at the ones for sale new on OutMotoring. However, I've talked to my dealership as well as my independent body shop, and both of them are concerned that they will not be able to match the textured paint very well, as it has been discontinued.

So my thought is, that maybe somebody has a used one that already has textured paint on it that they're willing to sell; that way I could keep the textured paint and just repaint the body color...

I know it's a long shot, but does anybody have a used front bumper or side skirts they're willing to part with? I'd prefer the bumper, as I already have a lead on some side skirts. I'm also willing to trade my stock bumper for the Aero one if anybody needs it...

They mix the paint by your paint code kind of like the paint department at Home Depot. Just do it

 

Yeah, but the paint components for the MINI texturized paint are not for sale on the US market. They can mix the blue just fine, it's just the trim pieces that are the problem.

 

Are you referring to the black on the side skirts?

Although I haven't had my skirts painted yet, I intend to use Plasti-Dip for the black. It has a good texture to it and a satin-like sheen and can be peeled and repainted as it gets trashed by road debris.
