and I was reluctant at first because of the memories I had in this Cooper and it was so fun to drive but up "upgraded" to 2014 Toyota Camry SE Turbo-My edition. So obviously I had no use for this strut tower brace. I bought it when it first came out and I loved it! I hade a R53 Brand New MCS and after a yr later I decided to buy the brace and because this M7 Strut Tower Brace for the R56 is made from high strength 6061-T6 aluminum alloy billet material and precision CNC machined. Finish is a beautiful matte black anodize and a M7 logo proudly engraved in the middle of the cross bar I decided to purchase it and the thing didn't fit well because the strut tower "Mushroomed" and then I go into an accident and car was totaled and then came the R56. This time I learned my lesson and I decided to buy it right away and I never took it off. It's extremely convenient because the middle part of the brace may be removed to gain access to your engine bay should you choose to install anything else that is close to the firewall. When selling it the appraiser looked at the strut tower brace so closely I thought he was crazy but then I find out that it's a really common issue with MINI's and I'm not certain as to why MINI never perfected this problem. Anyways my lost is your gain "so to speak" so don't let this happen to you. If are NOT currently using this exact brace then you should remove whatever you have and replace it with this because jot only does it prevent the tower from mushrooming it stiffens your suspension and you will feel the differences right away! With that said, I need to sell this ASAP so there is no better time to buy other than NOW! So send me a message if you think the brace is worth $400. It's in nearly perfect condition with no rusting as it was garage kept and it really looks brand new! So here's the deal. If you buy this from me I will throw in a R56 Turbo heat shield which is PERFECT as summer is right around the corner and we all know how much " heat soak" sucks! This turbo heat shield was purchased at the same time so I think they should stay together as a pair.
