Rotora RC4 Big Brake Kit

Category: Brakes
Price: $500
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R53
Location (Region): NorthEast
Item Condition: Used

These brakes just came off my 2005 MCS. They were installed by a previous owner and have about 40k miles on them. They're incredibly powerful but still easy to live with on a daily driver, there's good pedal feel and modulation unlike some aggressive brake setups.

I took them off because, honestly, I can't justify keeping them given how mild my driving style is, especially since they require big wheels - here in the snowy Northeast I like to have winter wheels/tires and would rather not spend a fortune on giant sizes. You will need at least 17" wheels to clear these and may need spacers on some 17's. So, it's back to stock brakes for me, and someone else gets to have fun with these giant things.

These are 4 piston calipers. As can be seen in the photos there's some paint missing on the outer surface of the calipers (from snow/grit getting caught between the rotor and the wheel) but this is purely cosmetic and not something you can see when the wheels are on. The calipers are in perfect shape functionally. The disks are pretty worn, you will probably want to replace the rings soon (that said I was driving with these a week ago and they worked fine). The rotors are 330x30mm, I took a photo of a stock rotor on top of these so you can see the size difference. The pads currently in the calipers are toast, but I will include a BRAND NEW never installed set of pads. Just to sum what's included: rotors, calipers and caliper mounting brackets, NEW pads.

These will fit R53 and likely others as well.

$500 OBO.

Handful of people interested, I'm keeping track of people in the order they contacted me via the thread or PM.

I'm near Syracuse, NY.

I have 17" R99's on my car. The PO who had the BBK installed put spacers on with the R99's. I honestly don't know if they'd clear the brakes without the spacers. I haven't tried any other wheels so I can't really pass judgment.
