I just ordered a boot mat from their site. At first I was gonna have it shipped but I'm planning to go to the launch party at Prestige on Saturday. So, I elected to have it picked up.

Might as well stop by while I'm in NJ and save me the shipping costs. Now why am I purchasing the boot mat at Morristown MINI when I'm going to Prestige in the first place? Morristown have MUCH better prices!!!

Oh, I was wondering if they'll charge me sales tax.

Just drove to MoTown MINI today after work to pick up a couple oil filters, and new bonnet stripes. Yes their prices do seem to be the best.

Well, sorry, I assumed you didn't know what towns the NJ dealers are located in. I figured that had to be the issue as five minutes using maps.google.com would have gotten the answer you needed all by yourself.

Thanks, now i know! I am new to this state, still figuring my way around. So names of towns mean nothing to me. When Mini's site came back up, i then got my answer after posting here.
Regardless, i am going to have to stop by Morristown soon, as soon as i figure out the way there. Im not sure how they sell parts/accesories so much cheaper than everyone else. I would have bought my aerokit there, but they said they could not ship it to my bodyshop

I've never stopped in at Morristown MINI as I pass some what near Princeton MINI on my way to work. I have ordered small stuff like the mirror covers, CD holders and the MINI FINI cup holder from Morristown with good results. There is also a NAM sponser (Classic) that has discounted parts - they are located in Ohio I believe so shipping may be somewhat higher than from Morristown.

I bought my R53 MCS last Sat. (almost 2 weeks ago now) from Morristown Mini... the plus side is I can walk to/from the dealership, so its location is ideal... for me at least...

...Though they are moving to an easier spot for non-locals to get to (with BMW) just off 287 on Ridgedale.

My MCS is an '06 (built Sept. 05, del in Aug.) it had 8200 mi on it...
Erving did the Service 1 on the car just after I picked it up and he is VERY knowledgeable and helpful... we chatted for about a half hour about mods that work and don't and the best bang for the $$...

Probably one of the best experiences I've ever had buying a car, and by far one of the best dealership experiences I've ever had...

Has anybody in the NJ area had Morristown Mini install the full JCW 200hp kit? How was the experience? I'm struggling with the cost (vs. no-dealership mods), but the convenience (a mile from my house), warranty, and reported benefits of "complete package" keep me considering it.

^ Have you considered the DINAN S1 package? It is fully installed and waranteed through your dealer and about half the cost and 205hp. I had mine installed and i absolutely love it! It has transformed the car, and its a real beast and a blast to drive now. Talk to the guys at Morristown, im sure theyve installed a few in the past.

Also, good to hear many of you guys have had good experiences with Morristown. One of these days i will get up there and buy some stuff from them for sure. Im hoping they have some kind of get-together type of meet-up one of these weekends. Im dying to take my car down there

I don't believe Mo'town MINI is a Dinan shop. The nearest one is an independent in Ridgewood, NJ.

When are they planning this move? I was just there this past Saturday and my MA hasn't mentioned a thing. I'm not sure if I like the idea of them being in the same place or building as BMW. (besides, I thought BMW corporate frowns against all of the products in the same place) I don't mind the ride to their current place and I'm in NY.

Really ? I think all you have to do is walk into a Mini or BMW dealership and they can order/instal Dinan parts. The only way you can aquire Dinan parts is through your local dealer! I will give a call to my guy a Dinan to make sure, but i belive thats the way it works.

Anyway, speaking of Morristown Mini, and as i havent even been there yet, we should do a Mini Meet-up there one of these days!

i got the info about the independent from Dinan's website. My understanding is the dealership/garage decides to "sign up" to become a Dinan shop. In fact Mo'town wanted me to sign a waiver for installation of MiniMania parts (Mo'town was listed as an installation shop on MiniMania's website).

Nothing against Mo'town. Nice bunch of folks. I take my mini there for service.

Spring is here somewhere. Maybe a detail day.

I think Mo'town MINi has great parts prices!! I'd love to have them become a sponser here. Just bought my MINI there after a disappointing experience at Prestige -- MA was a jerk in my opinion.
Joe Scarpa was my MA at Morristown if anyone is interested. Pleasent, accomodating and had a back-up MA ready to answer questions if he was not available. GREAT customer service!!
I recently ordered driving lights parts and JCW floor mats from their site which I picked up Wednesday. GREAT PRICES -- I saved $117 just on those parts compared to MSRP. I also filled my tank with gas while in Jersey and saved 40 cents a gallon over NY prices -- nice 1.5 hour drive too.
I spoke to a guy who fills the internet orders and asked how they can sell so much cheaper he simply said they would rather make their profit on volume rather than hiking the price per part. I LIKE THAT!!!
I hope they can become a sponser here, more MINI orners should support selling policies like this!

If you buy on site I'm not sure if you will get the online discount. Sometimes you do, sometimes you don't. They do normally have lots of goodies on site though so it's worth the trip.

Sorry for dropping off this thread for a bit...

1) the car was used, CPO... so it arrived about 1 wk before I did...
Dark Silver w/ black roof and silver (Euro) Union Jack.
Space Fabric seats, 17" Crown Spoke (aka MiniLites) wheels, LSD, and trip computer, and 6-speed manual... had 8200mi on it (now its over 10K).

I would have LIKED to have a sunroof, and the full sport package (Xenon lights), but am quite satisifed with what I have and what I paid ($20K)... I could have gotten one of two other cars fully loaded, but they had 30,000+ mi and cost a thousand or two more...

I test drove the R56 Turbo car, and found that they made it more "mature" and fluid... The turbo has more power, yes, but it seemed to take longer to give it up, vs the bang in the back from the SC... the suspension was also softer (but could easily be fixed with a set of new suspenders)... but the R53 was perfect, so I went CPO...

2) as to when the dealership is moving, I have no real idea... They bought the old Nissan dealership and gutted the building down to the steel frame (as of 3/24)... I guess by summer they'll have moved in... but that is just a guess!

I had to ask when I was there last since they didn't offer any news. The target move in date to their new location on Ridgedale Ave is in October. The MINI and BMW dealers will both move in and share one facility (but retain separate show rooms, like Princeton).

We bought a 2002 mini S used from Morristown Mini in July of 2005. We've had the car back for service a few times for repairs (window lift motor, cooling fan wiring blowing fuses) and their explanations have always been complete and reasonable. The last time I was there they even replaced a piece of plastic fender trim that was coming loose - they just replaced it with a new piece, at no charge. And yes, the sales girl (I forget her name - she has a name? lol) is very easy on the eyes.

Her name is Magdalena, she is a real cutie! I went in on Saturday to pick up the rear bumper protector and got to meet Ervin, he is a great guy. Very committed to Mini's and Morristown, hopefully he will be there for a LONG time. People like this need to be rewarded and kept on, hope all of the higher ups are reading. Moving in with BMW could be a bad thing, sometimes those places with dual dealerships tend to be snooty and it might not be the best fit for Mini, time will tell.

Ahhh! My name is Magdalena... and thank you Mr. Torres, for the nice compliments and recommendation.

Who spread the rumor that we are changing our location??
