Any miracle workers here?

Guys, I've got a delima. My boyfriend and I moved to LA from NYC a couple years ago and picked up a sweet (if used) 2009 Mini in Texas (where my folks are from) on our way out here. But my baby is on her last leg!

The engine in my beloved gal has been misfiring. For a couple of months now. Two mechanics have said that the issue is with the Pistons misfiring (usually Pistons 1 and 3, but sometimes others as well). We recently replaced the spark plugs, so they are likely still okay. However, the other day the clutch went out as well. To fix the clutch (and likely the flywheel) it will cost $1,500-$2,000. My budget can only handle $2,500-$3,000, but I haven't found a way to fix all these issues within that budget.

If I were to get the clutch and flywheel professionally squared away, any suggestions on how to get the engine taken care of and stay within the budget? Is there a unicorn-miracle-enthusiast who likes to work on Minis as a hobby that might be willing to check out the engine? I really don't want to give my baby up, but for $3,000 I think I may be better off replacing the car (and can't afford another mini anytime soon). Help!
