run flat sensor

I've owned my MCSa for almost 4 months now - and on Monday I was driving around and my run flat sensor lit up. Air pressure was fine in all four tires - do you think I need to contact Hendrick? The light went off after I turned the engine off.
The owners manual states:
The warning lamp lights up in yellow. There is a malfunction in the Flat Tire Monitor or the system has failed. Have the system checked as soon as possible.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, I've had three run flat sensor "misfires" during the first 7,000 miles. I check it, each time, and the pressure is fine. Shut the car off, reset and move on. For me, it's too minor to worry about, but I will mention it during its first scheduled maintenance.

I think this is not uncommon. I also had a few misfires with my '03 during three years of use.

Reset them for sure, before you declare it as a fault. The device is simply looking at an difference in wheel rotation indicating a change in circumference that could be caused by a loss in pressure. If you have checked the pressure, then simply reset as described in the manual and you should be ok.

Have had to re set my 03 and now 05 numerous times. Its no big deal as long as your tire pressure is good. When you take it in tell them and they may need to replace a sensor. Hope to see you on the Charity run. Luke

You're saying to perform the reset on the sensor?
I guess I should look into that!

Thanks for all of your advice!

I on the other hand allowed all 4 tires to loose pressure by about 10lbs. Good thing was, I was running on the same pressure and did not wear down one side of my tires...bad thing was, I was running on the same pressure so the sensor did not indicate. Go figure!
Hope to see you all at MAC's and at the Charity Drive this weekend.
