If you'll look at the club, Tarzan, you'll see that what you're suggesting is exactly what the club was set up to be: Essentially, a bunch of local/regional clubs that operate under the umbrella of a larger organization. Each of the chapters elects its own VP and is free to organize its own events (as long as those events are open to other m2c2 members). At the same time, the regional nature of the club provides advantages, such as giving us a way to meet MINI owners from more than just the immediate area and attracting to the club those who don't live in any metro area.

And don't lose sight of the fact that this is a car club, not just a chat room/BBS for talking about MINIs. It's sort of tough to go driving with the person in China you mention, isn't it?

What's your interest in tearing m2c2 apart, Tarzan? I don't think anyone else has suggested that the low turnout at Hickory is such a huge problem that we need to bring the club to "an abrupt end." We're just saying it'd be nice if more people showed up.

O.K., We had a couple of poor turn outs and probably more in the future. We shall continue to do the quarterly meetings. Bob told me this was going to be easy but I knew better. I know that you can't please everyone and if you try you will be the one not pleased. I am putting alot of miles on BLUCOOPR and thats part of being President. As for the computer, I am spending several hours aday on there, and I am not very computer savy but it does get easier. I am retired and unless something more important that the club then I will be there. Everybody please try to make as many meetings as you can, and for some reason you can't thats O.K. For all of you in the core don't let poor turn out get you down; as long as you are there thats what counts!

Amen! And many thanks for the hours you put in to keep the club running smoothly! It's a much greater responsibility than most members realize.

You absolutely correct Lee, M2C2 is a CAR CLUB, not a chat room. It's about MINI's and people and motoring.

The attendance to meetings is like the tide... sometimes high, sometimes low, but it all evens out. We just need to keep going on the successful path we're on and ignore who attempt to infuse unjustified turmoil. Their adgenda is undeniably transparent.
