I'll be taking a ride up to Winston Salem this Sunday morning to pick up an exhaust and will probably spend most of Sunday tinkering with it on the car. If anyone wants to see how to modify a stock exhaust to fit a supertrap muffler and how to build a custom trailer hitch for the MCS you can come on over.
How many of you can meet us at the Starbucks at Garners Ferry across from the Target shopping center at 6pm on 27 June? We're getting together there and then going to the Maurices Barbeque Piggy Farm by 7. Come on over, and get together with us!!!
I could be there.
Maybe some of you in Columbia can help me find something out. During WWII, my father was stationed at an Air Force base in Orangeburg that trained pilots. For years, I have been trying to find the name of this base. Maybe some of you have parents that may recall the name of the base. I would really appreciate it if someone can get me that info. Thanks

This is an interesting publication, too: http://bevhoward.com/ycltf.htm.
I looked into finding the information for you. Seems that the old air force base there is now Methodist Oaks Retirement Community.
In the history of Methodist Oaks, they make reference to a training site that now hosts this community. It was for WW II airmen from Canada and the United States.
Their number is: 803-268-1707-- Hope this helps.
Tirewarmer, would love to see you there, we are going to have a blast!~

Check this link out. I think you'll find it here: www.thestateonline.com/history/files/20050814_D4.pdf.

This thread blew my mine when I (finally) saw it. I've been trying to figure a way to get all the MINI's I see around Columbia together, and here's all kind of talk about it; then I noticed all the first two and a half pages were three years old. The Columbia chapter of M2C2 just had a great meeting at Maurices Bar-b-que. If any of the Columbia people happen to pick up on this thread...let's get together!! That parking lot behind Sonic's on Harbison Blvd. might be a great first spot; four or five restaurants within walking distance from the lot. Pick a night and time and do it a few times until we draw a crowd then we could start moving it around. The Greenville chapter tells me during the week draws more cars; say Thursday nights starting around 7pm?? I'm going to get on the Owners Lounge director and get all the cars listing an e-mail address in Columbia; give them an e-mail and go from there.
Any interest, post and let's meet. My MINI is "TILLEY", a 2007 pw cabrio. I'm affraid I'm not a "tuner" but my wife and I love to motor. Come back
