After you set up the logo you can do whatever color thread you want. I often do tone on tone and it looks sharpe. They will waive the set up fee if you do like 20 items at one time. This might be an option for our first order. They have new new high end equipment that turns out a great product.

I found most places I contacted that did quality work wanted a set up fee or a certain number of items done initially.

I liked this place because I can drop an item off one day and pick it up the next day or I can order online. In the past I have delt with places that needed large orders or took a week or more.

Please look around, this may not be the best option for the club. Let's bring it up at the meeting and see what other options we might have from the membership.

Jeez, I didn't even know shirts were available. I checked out the Cafe Press site and I must admit, I'm not that crazy about them either. If anything, I think we should use the logo that's at the top of their page, I guess it's called our banner or header or whatever. Anyway, I'm glad my query is generating some discussion. I look forward to discussing it further on the 4th.

George, would you be willing to talk to them and ask if getting something done by the 17th would be possible? I don't think the $100 setup fee sounds that bad. Like Karen, I'm not that crazy about silk screens but maybe we could offer both and I'll bet the silk screens could be done faster than the other.

Eric

From what George said, getting the shirts for the PKI trip should be no problem as he mentioned a fairly quick turn around time. All we have to do is decide on the final design and decide how we want to handle the fees.

On a smaller "pocket" logo the embroidery, as mentioned by Karen, would be nicer. Screening does lend itself to larger designs though. As a few people mentioned, the Cafe Press shirts are less than impressive. In that, we can check into the possibility of changing the design to something else.

Just wanted to give this a final bump. We'll probably go somewhere after the meeting for food for those who want to partake in a late lunch/ early dinner.

I'd like to thank everyone who showed up today. I feel we had a rather productive meeting and an overall good time. Our secretary, Debi, will be sending out a synopsis of it soon so those of you who couldn't make it will know what was discussed. See you next week at the Matthews car show.
