Hendrick MINI Saturday

Hi all,
Although the weather was crummy, it was nice to meet George and several other M2C2 club members at Hendrick MINI today.
I'm a new member to the club, with a Black/Black 05 MCS with white stripes (gray borders) and silver black & gray interior. I ordered it with the Sports & Premium packages.

I can tell this is going to be an obsession, since I've already installed the I-Pod & I-Pod adaptor, tinted windows, MINI circuit (auto-up windows, dsc track mode, and auto-on front fog lights), glove box organizer, valve stem caps (MINI logo), locking wheel bolts, stubby antenna, complete Zaino treatment, painted calipers red, MINI logo spare oil pouch, retrofit the factory alarm system, and ordered the rear fog lamp retrofit kit. And I've had the car just over a month.

I am Jonesing for a JCW kit in the worst way.
Looking forward to meets and events here in the Charlotte area!

It was nice to meet you on Saturday the 22nd.

We had 5 members stop by and had a couple of new MINI owners stop in to talk.

I stopped by last Saturday the 29th, but I cheated. I showed up in the wife's SUV. The weather was so bad no members and no customers stopped by.

This coming Saturday I will be stopping in at 8:45 am and leaving at 9:00 am to go to Greenville, SC. If you would like to join in please check out this thread.
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=36858

I need a member to stop by from 9:00 am until 11:00 am to answer question from anyone stopping by to learn about M2C2. Please post hear if you can help out.

Thanks
George

George,

Will you all be there this weekend? Depending on what is going on, I would like to stop by and thank Ed myself for donating the money for the picnic. That's way cool!!!!

I'll be there this weekend. I got my eye on that red 330 on the floor down at the BMW dealer. Anyone interested or know of anyone interested. in a very well kept loaded 99 M3 in techno violet with dove gray interior? If so, please spread the word. Unfortunately, three two doors in our family doesn't cut it any longer.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing everyone Saturday--it's been a while. Too long because I'm too lazy to get out of bed on Saturdays and that's the truth.

Cheers,
Debi

Michelle...if you want to try the way we left that one time take 85 to 485. Get on 485 going towards Concord. Follow it to the 24/27 exit. Take a right on 24/27 and go down about 5 miles. Take a left on E. Harris Blvd. and follow that to Independence. Take a left on Independence and the dealership is about 1/2 a block down on the right. This'll cut out going through the main part of town.

Can't make it this weekend. The MINI is off the road until I can strip the tint so I can renew the inspection that ran out in Nov. Hopefully, I'll get that done tomorrow and get the inspection on Monday or Tuesday.

Shouldn't be a problem for the 20th though.

Bummer! I'm just hoping to get up in time to go. If not, I have Ed's card and I can always give him a call. He's a great guy! Probably will get my MINI from him!

See you at our lunch on the 20th.

Michelle

P.S. Don't forget to let me know about that CD!!

Yes I will be at Hendrick on Saturday. I agree that's a long drive just to hang out for a couple of hours. We would be glad to see you and you are always welcome.

I know Ed would be glad to hear from you.

See you soon.

We had a great Saturday at Hendrick MINI.

We had five members stop by today. One member took delivery of her beautiful new LY/W MCSa with Cordoba beige interior. What a nice combination.

We also met 4 soon to be members.

Look for Debiw to post information on an upcoming Charlotte event.

I also got the opportunity to test drive a MCSa. I was very impressed with putting it in manual and using the paddle shifters. MINI has done a great job with this option.

Sorry I couldn't make it out, but I did give Ed a call! Like an idiot, I left his thank you card at home as well! Oh well, I'll mail it out tomorrow.

It was nice to see everyone on Saturday. Much thanks to Mrs. Cooper for baking some fantastic zuchini nut bread.

Off work Saturday!

It was nice to meet up with some Charlotte MINI enthusiasts at Hendrick today. George, Jeff, and I brought along a younger generation of MINI fans. Mr. Cooper was around. I'd recommend stopping by if you ever have a Saturday morning free.

Dark Silver Day at Hendrick MINI

I stopped by today at around 10:30, and was outnumbered by Dark Silver MINI's--such a sharp color!

George K was there with his dark silver WORKED S, and I met EMINI with his dark silver 05 MCS with the aero kit, nicely blacked out instead of decals...(JCW Kit...you know you want it... ).

Another George was there to break things up with a very nice Chili Red car and bulls-eyes painted on the mirror caps! Seems whatever hit your hood missed the targets by a mile (Did you get the windows tinted today?)

Plus, Hendrick MINI is the only dealership around that has a genuine counterfeit MINI in the showroom. It's a definite tourist attraction!

While I was there, I snarfed down a Krispie Kreme donut, and purchased the Homelink rearview mirror which is a direct, pre-wired retrofit replacement of my standard rearview. M2C2 club discounted, of course!

Welcome Tall Mini

Yes, as Twister said, we still meet on Saturdays when we are not having a club function that takes us some place else.

We would love to have a classic Mini stop by. I will be there on Saturday from 9:00 am until about 11:30 am, hope to see you and your classic Mini there.

Thanks
George
