M2C2 forum concerns

I am starting this thread since there has been some discussion about how the future M2C2 forum should be organized. This discussion began at the annual meeting and has come up in another thread.

I will quote the comments from the other thread so that we can continue this discussion here.

The following two quotes were originally posted on the September 25th Midlands Miniac MINI Rally thread...

I guess I should of spoke-up too and not just sat there like a lump. This is funny, but I just found the SE forum again after thinking that this was the only forum. I had heard about a winery event over the labor day weekend and wondered where in the heck it was. After searching, it's somewhere else. I can't make that one because I forgot were going to VIR for a Factory Five Event. Sorry for the rant

Cheers,
Debi

I agree with both Debi and Trainman. My sense from the annual meeting was that the majority would like to see one events section on the forum instead of a separate section for each of the chapters. I would prefer this as well.

What I don't like currently is having to check so many message boards for events happening in our area. I would love to be able to check in just one location.

In response to Debi, the winery event which took place this past weekend was not an M2C2 event. That's why it wasn't posted on this forum. Yet, some M2C2 members may have wanted to attend. One solution might be to start a thread on the M2C2 forum for non-M2C2 events in which we provide a link to the original thread. I think this is done on occassion.

Another solution might be to have a section of our forum specifically for M2C2 events and another section for non-M2C2 events that are of interest to M2C2 members because of location or because some members are planning on attending and would love to caravan together. This solution would have to wait for our new web site to be in place.

Any other comments or suggestions?

Kevin
