Blue Ridge Parkway Benefit

Benefit dinner scheduled for Saturday, August 28, 4:00 pm. The venue is near Mt. Pisgah, Graveyard Fields and the Shining Rock Wilderness Area.

My Backyard

Hello to all!! I live just north of the Parkway off Hwy 151 and hope to attend depending on my work schedule. Just some general info that I might add. Unfortunately for the attendees this is same weekend as the Nextel Race in Bristol and the Asheville is effected. What this means one will find motel rates high that weekend and most motels will not be accepting their coupons for the Sat night. I work in the motel business and will suggest that those hoping to stay in the area go to www.roomsavers.com and check for motels that might accept coupons. If a group was large enough perhaps our motel might work a group rate. I also think any Miniac would enjoy a motor down Hwy 151 (Pisgah Hwy) off the parkway. About a 3-5 mile stretch of twisties a blast to drive.
