'09 R56 - Mutt

Welcome Mutt!

Few things I have done recently:
vland - Headlights & Tail Lights
m7speed - Charge Pipes
wagnertuning - Front Mount Intercooler
aem - Cold Air Intake
miltek - Non Resonated Cat-Back 2.5” Exhaust
LED Sidemarkers Front & Rear

Back Story

Originally was bought by my dad in August, 2015 for 3500$, and had around 88,000 miles or so. Timing chain guides snapped, and it bent all the exhaust side valves. Was able to salvage the head, get it resurfaced, all new valves, springs, etc. Entire cooling system was replaced, and a bunch of misc work was done to clean it up. (Was a Upstate NY Vehicle). Parents drove it a few thousand miles, and this year ended up buying it as a daily driver. Currently sitting at 95k miles, and its been doing absolutely fantastic, minus its oil consumption.. gotta get an oil catch can soon too.

One of the bent exhaust valves (looks straight to me! )

Bottom right of the airbox, there is a grommet with a wire. That's the MAF Wire connector.

I've been pretty bad at updating this thread.

Updates? I've put about 15,000 miles since I have owned it, and honestly? It's been incredibly reliable (since i mention it.. it'll probably break ). It's been a fantastic daily, and I have grown to really appreciate this platform.

Engine:
JCW Turbo (Found one on marketplace for 200$ w/ 15k miles or so).
m7 catch can
Forge Turbo Blanket
Stage 3 Tune
Sold the Milltek Exhaust (the drone was diabolically horrible). Found a complete JCW Exhaust for 250$.

Interior:
JCW Steering Wheel w/ Metal Paddle Extenders (I rewired the left paddle shifter) -> Push toward you.. downshift - Push away from you.. upshift
Android Head Unit
UltraGauge w/ Mount
Tinted the Sunroof (the dinky sunshade.. does such a poor job )

This weekend I'll be installing ST XA Coilovers and as-well a GP Wing Replica.

I think only other thing I'll do is add rally lights, and I'll consider this daily build finished..
