R53 TVS900 Full Build

Hello guys, after about a decade of learning from these forums, I thought it was about time I contribute something back to the community.

Hope you enjoy!

I've been l saving/working on this build for, right around 3 years now...

This will be engine #3 in this mini!😅

So, this time around, I kinda decided, to go full send!

She should be running in the next few weeks or so...

Just have to figure out; getting the Link ECU, to talk with my Dash2 Pro, and the CAN Lambda.

But anyways I'll dump a bunch of photos here.

The parts and mods list is far too long to type out.

But, I'm happy to answer any questions!

I'll post more as she comes along.

-Monz

The beginning.

Trying to remove 2003 from the chassis.

Giant messes.

Cleaning up the subframe.

Le paint.

Steering rack

Rebuilt the front subframe.

Same thing in the rear. (Forgot to take pics)

Everything is adjustable!

Wildwood Dynapro 6 pots

Looking good.

Rear potato chip delete, inbound.

I think these are Dynapros too?? I don't remember.

Getting ready to lose my mind. On the interior...

But first...

Beautiful CAE Ultra shifter.

Gas tank out, to dump, clean, and modify.
Another picture I forget is the Deatschwerks fuel pump... would've just gone the fuel cell route, if I could go back in time.

Step up transformer (amp) for the fuel system. AKA: Kenne Bell Boost-a-Pump.
Installed.

Hobbs switch for the Boost-a-Pump.

Flex fuel sensor.

1000cc injectors... For the school zone speed limits.

Comparing my boost weenies.

Mahle pistons, Molnar rods.

I guess this is mopar blue?

Assembled.

Nasty old bell housing!

OEM craptastic dif.

OS Giken LSD for the vision quest.

Computing weenie comparison

Things that I'm still working on.

I call it: The Mullet.

P.S. Yes, I'm that hillbilly: That built his engine in his living room, to watch TV.

Arp everything!

Trying to hide things.

See it? Me too...

Almost done.

RMW Big Valve Head

Stud conversion

New water pump and location.

You didn't think I left the bell housing nasty! Did you?

OS Giken makes some of my favorite parts.

I recall your recall.

Too much awesome here for me to convey into words!

Full send no doubt.

Have a few questions but I'll ask later, right now I'm jaw dropped with total awe so I'll just compliment you on the good taste and fine build.

Very well done!

Proper champion.

Also,
absolutely love that you went with Mopar blue on the block.

Good choice. I was planning on doing the same when the day comes for my rebuild.

77.5mm bore, stock crank, flex fuel.
Edit: Flex fuel so I can run whatever.

More progress. Enjoy.

Pin required for new water pump.

Soldered in.

If you do this, don't bother with heat shrink. Just tape it.

DDMWorks true cold air intake.

Such a clean design.

Airtec intercooler.

Sparco wheel and momo cf button plate.

Mock-up The cockpit, is starting to take form. P.S. I'm replacing both seats, with bucket seats.

Oooooohh, I like! Wheel fits damn well, for "eye balling" the size, at the shop.

Drilling through carbon fiber feels like a form of blasphemy... But, it came out nice.

Installed. Time to figure out wire routing.

Little further...

The stock seats, are starting to look, very out of place.

Sexy...

Had to do some chopping, on the oem fan housing, to get the front end on.

We created spacers to move the radiator support/front bumper forward about a half inch. The mounting studs are plenty long enough.

Lol, good to know. I'll get those if the fan murders itself!

Better shot of the new horns, and giant light bar. The Hella horns are a MASSIVE upgrade!

Homemade front grills.

Not perfect, but they work for now. If anyone needs an aero lower grill... I erroneously thought it would fit, with some persuasion... Nope!

14y/o me loved this little mod: Grip tape on the pedals!

The kid at the skate shop thought that using the grip tape in a race car was so cool... He gave me it, for free! Can't get a better bang for your buck!

Figured out the rest of the engine bay wiring, I'll post that progress, once I've gotten the last of the parts, I need.
Goodnight gents,
-Monz

I wish our cars were drive by actual wire. I love the old VW beetle wheel pedal. So smooth on acceleration. It would go great with your grip tape job!! If you make it happen let me know how.

Im not here to hijack your build thread bro!!! Currently an ‘05 JCW with almost all the bolt on’s I can buy. Trying to keep this one moderate. 12 years ago I had a built motor that was twincharged. I think I have my block and pistons in my gallery still but can’t find any pics of my twurbo setup.

When my engine goes from my undampened crank pulley I don’t know if I will go TVS or Sprintex or straight turbo. Thus I am watching with anticipation for finished product

Clean solder joints.

Tackling the last of the wiring, in the engine bay.

Terminations for Can-Lambda, fuel pressure sensor (Or the flex fuel sensor. Pretty sure it pulls its power from the PCB though.), new water pump, e.t.c.

Another angle, for those who need it.

All installed... I'll clean up the routing tomorrow.
