Crashed my new mini

Got in an accident in my 2016 mini hardtop I’ve only had for about a month and a half. I’m so upset and looking for advice as to what to do next. I was going about 40mph on the highway when the truck in front of me got cut off and I rear ended him. The car itself is driving completely fine. No airbags went off, no weird sounds, no noticeable leaks, no engine lights or anything as far as I can tell. You honestly wouldn’t know the car was in an accident until you see the front of the vehicle. The hood is all bent and misshapen, and I know the front broke off some. I’m just trying to stay optimistic that the car itself is okay and it’s just the hood...
I just don’t know what to expect when I take it to the collision center. Does anyone have any advice or know what the normal cost of something like this would be? :(

Can you get the hood open and take from above pictures looking down in the engine bay where the damage is?

If it is just body work probably a couple grand at least...

Looking at it, i find it hard to believe nothing right behind the accident damage has been damaged

Why are you worrying about the cost? You have insurance, don't you?

Used parts are OK, if you want to keep the cost down. Like said above, you pay deductible, the rest is on them.

Also make sure you do a proper alignment afterwards, as this will show if the impact made structural damage and the tracking of the car.
