Well it's sad to see pics like these. I'm glad the driver is OK, but what a waste.

High speed and no brains is a bad mix. IMHO.

i have input my opinions on how the guy might drove it wrong. it is nothing wrong with the car. it is all about the driver. the roads in Taiwan is better than most US roads(at least better than Atlanta).

But i was impressed about how that guy love the MINI. I might not order another MINI if I crashed it. I might have bad reaction and memory everytime i sit in there!!

I might get the C32, since it won the MINI!

Looks like chasing things that say AMG can lead to problems...

Pretty impressed he walked away though.

If you look at the pictures you will see how strong the MINI is built to take all that rollover damage and protect the driver. Most people would be pretty injured from a crash like that at high speed. If he hit anything out of control like a pole he would have done very poorly.

If you have a highly modded car you have to be concerned about your safety and the well being of your passengers. Please be careful and know your limits.

From the text on MINI2.com it seems that in Taiwan the cost of a MINI is extremely high. The dealer picks all the options and you wait. The JCW kit was not complete apparently. They don't get in the full kit there.

Glad to be in the USA.

can't think how much the new M5 will cost over there.
My friends has told me that the MINI not the MCS, is about 28K in China.
MCS is about 27K start in HK.
I might bring my MINI back there and make small fortune!

actualy it was not street racing, it was a "highway Racing"!!!

I just can't believe how that guy can crash on the highway around 125m/h.

Taiwan has better highway, and it should not be road hazard.
It is a mistery,!! haha

And people question the safety of our MINIs?! HA! That car has fatality written all over it. Makes me feel even better about choosing a MINI Cooper.

Give it to Bubba. A six-pack and a couple of cans of Bondo, and he ought to be able to fix that furrin' car right nice.

unfortunately it's because of idiots like that, that our insurance premiums are so high. BTW, IMHO there's nothing blessed about being an idiot. It's only because of the safety design of the MINI that this fella didn't qualify for a Darwin Award.
To bad he ordered another MINI, that will not promote the reputation of the car, with that kids driving skills and style.

Those are the same colors of my car, I see I wouldn't like it without the stripes and oh yeah that's too bad about the dents and scratches on that car.
