Problem zrp rods with supertech pistons

Hello guys, my name is Francesco, i’m italia and i have a GP2.

I’m doing a rebuil for an onther mini, a 2009 cooper s N14 R56.
But the problem is the matching to piston and rod.
The pin diameter is correct but the dimensione of the rod is too big to stay in the piston.

I have tried both the peugeot type and the mini type.

In left the original connectin rod, right the zrp rod.

thanks

Over the last few years I've read about other builders having similar problems --- rods don't fit the pistons. Usually it's the piston skirt that's too long. When I rebuilt, I chose a rod / piston pair that came from "associated" sources, i.e., CP / Carrillo, ensuring a matched pair. Hopefully you can work with one of your sources and find a match they know will work. Good luck returning the un-usable set.

Best of luck and keep us posted.
