I searched but still didn't find out the correct part numbers for the NGK Iridiums for the MCS. The NGK website says the correct part number is ZFR6FIX-11 but other sites say the part number starts with BKR6. I want 2 ranges colder so i know the number would be 8. Thanks in advance...
Take BKR7EIX, thats the right one... don't know if there is a 8 from NGK, but I would not recommend it !
Several people have been running plugs 2 heat ranges colder than stock, others have talked about even going another ranger colder. Some run Denso, others NGK. I run Denso's now but get better prices on NGK's, so that's what I'm going with.
DrPhilGandini, I ran Denso IK22 on my car for over a year with no problems and a lot of times have felt that even colder plugs would be better.
To both of you, thanks for confirming the proper part numbers! Appreciate it.
So being in SoCal and having a stock '06 JCW, is it recommended to go to a colder plug?
The JCW comes with NGK's that are one range colder than that on the stock MCS. But theyre not Iridiums, I personally would at least run the equivalent Iridiums or the BKR8EIX (2 ranges colder)..
So is eBay the cheapest? Or is there somewhere cheaper?
Getting my car back in a little bit then heading to Autozone, hopefully they have the plugs in stock. Anyone know the proper torque settings for the spark plugs?

Just hand tighten them, I don't remember the exact spec, I think it's around 20, but I recall someone saying that you should torque them up to 24-25 if you're going to be putting any serious load on the engine.
