How is your PROBLEM-FREE MINI?

For months, I've been reading about many little (and a few not-so-little) problems with some of the new Mini's rolling off the line. But I've already been advised how internet forums like this will blow up the negatives, and not necessarily make light of the positives.

So I figured I'd take a roll call... give a "howdy" if you've been enjoying motoring around in your new, pristine, problem-free, perfect Mini, with no annoying little problems or tech issues...

Dang, I forgot about possibly jinxing anyone with this post.

Okay, I hereby absolve and protect anyone from any jinxes, regardless of the happy, trouble-free messages posted here.

There.

I don't believe in jinxes. So far, my MINI has been problem-free. No, it's not perfect, but for under $28000, it is pretty darn close. And all the bits that are supposed to be working... are!

How is my problem-free MINI? It's been problem free. No issues whatsoever. Sure like this car.

I MIGHT have a slight dash rattle--still trying to figure it out (radar detector is in the same place). Other than that, no problems here.

I love it! The only problem is the current lack of aftermarket parts. That should change soon!

So far the only "problem" seems to be an oversensitive sensor (so it's pretty much doing its job). No other complaints ...

I. Love. My. New. Mini!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, that's true that you usually hear more negatives than positives... Glad that people are enjoying their cars

I too, have the same non-issue. Hard to comment on how problm free my car is. I suspect she is doing a nice job of it while on the boat ride.

No problems in mine so far. Drove 15 minutes with the music off just to listen to the sounds it makes... other than the engine, it don't make any! :-)

I like my music accompanied only by my tuneless singing along.

The car is great. Only issue I have is I can't get the universal remote to interface with my garage door opener! Pretty minor! And I have LOTS of points for things to go wrong on the car with thanks to all the options I picked. No news here though.

Hey, can I join the SSOW since my car was actually built before yours but is still hanging out in the motherland? Guess he has separation anxiety...but at least I have no issues to report.

Well, that is not a good whine at all. you need more gusto (WHERE THE H#$%$ is MY CAR!?!?!), more anxiety (I am getting depressed without it!), and more drama (Life without my Mini is not worth getting out of bed!).

Put some heart into it man!

Since Dec. 06, going on 6,000 kms. Only problem thus far has been our first encounter with the service manager at BMW Brossard to fix a piece of the plastic side skirt that was not clipped properly at assembly. She tried telling my wife she was the one that damaged it, my wife won that round..Sidebar, dont mess with an ex female rugby player.

True. But someone has to put him on the right path to Whinedom. It is a responsibility and obligation I will shoulder.

Bring me your poor, dumbfounded people yearning to whine!

1) a couple days ago, a really loud rattle developed in the centre stack, its the left vertical trim and its buzzing loud near the climate controls. It doesn't do it normally and then when I accellerate, it buzzes around 3000-4000 rpm. I hit it a couple times, pressed really hard on it, and cursed it to no ends. One of them must've work cuz it's gone now~ LOL must be the cursing~

2) stupid ticking sound from the engine... gotta say I hate it so much~ but whatever most ppl are too slow to hear it anyway once I get moving~

3) this car is gonna get me lots of speeding tickets.......................... "supercar conundrum of having a fast car with not enough roads" read that somewhere... think it was newyorktimes.

Sorry, I'm just so depressed and discouraged I couldn't put much into the whining. That, and I didn't want to completely hijack the thread (but how does that work with the SSOW?)

Yeah, there's that too...I didn't want to show up the founding member.

Only 21

As of 2:45 PM in California, 341 views and only 21 R56's without problems. Keep um coming so the skeptics can order without feeling like the money pit.

I think most people come here either if they have problems or if they don't have their car yet (as is my case). I'd say the lack of response is a pretty good indicator that there are a lot of happy R56 owners out there.

No problems and the most fun I've had with my clothes on!

Forums do tend to the negative...my Liberty CRD is great but the forum is nothing but whining.
