What was the shipping charge? And got any pictures TWISTER?

I had never see a white roof with white JCW wings!

How involved is the install?

The wing is the next addition to my MC, hopefully get enough found sooner!
Morristown MINI is super slow on reply emails, try call them and they are pretty helpful on the phone.
My dealer told me they couldn't even get the wing for $500, and they don't know how morristown does it. My dealer wants $115 for install, it sounds pretty reasonable.

$115 sounds really good. The install entails using a special adhesive gun that costs $90 and the adhesive is $35 if you do it yourself. I would pay that much to have them do it.

Pictures on my blog. Have them do it. I should have seen how much my dealer would have charged.

i got my JCW wing from morristown Mini......best price around....i installed it myself. it is not that difficult. depends upon ones threshold. i have the gun (on loan from another NAM'er). with his permission, i will send it along to the next person willing to do this on their own. does anyone w/ a royal grey MINI want a rear hatch w/ JCW wing? i want to go w/ a CF boot, but doubt that i can remove my JCW wing w/out destroying either the hatch or the wing.......

Thanks, no problem, Ill let you know. We have been wanting to do this for awhile and it was the cost of the gun that was holding me back.

I ordered mine through Morristown too. Also, try to swing a complete deal; Wing, Gun and Glue.

The install is rather easy and it's a two person job in my opinion. Just try doing a few dry runs and then go for it. Temp needs to be above 68F for 6 hours for curing.

Pic's in gallery.

i had my "winglets" painted body color and used them vs. filling and painting the whole hatch.

Hey,

How do I get the old wing off? One post suggested using Mineral Spirits? I removed the bolts and tried to get it to move and nothing! I am absolutely worried about prying it up and damaging the old wing or the paint.

I started pulling dental floss through the gap area before I gave up and came inside to read some posts.

Also, Do ANYONE still have the glue gun? The kit Outmotoring sent me did not have the gun or the template with it.

Thanks,

Mark
