Notice That Smell?

A while back, I saw a MINI ad about how they are cutting down on harmful chemicals in the construction of their car interiors. I pretty much considered it advertising hype, thinking well, of course, a smaller car is going to use less of them (carpet, glue, etc.). Well, after picking up my MINI I kept feeling something was missing. I figured it out. It is that "new car smell." Oh, sure, it smells new. But that overpowering smell of a witch's brew of carcenogens is vastly reduced! The most noticeable smell is the leather upholstery. I applaud MINI.

Thanks, I would hardly notice. I breath a lot of filtered air at work.

I applaud MINI for the noble goals obtained.

Yeah, I had one of those in my old Mazda, but it just isn't the same...

ROFL!

I defintely like the new-MINI smell of the R56. Not too strong, doesn't give me a headache at all, just a nice n pleasant reminder that the car is fresh and new!

This is one thing I noticed when test driving an R56 for the first time...and I'm SO glad. The "new car smell" gives me a terrible headache.
