The instructions posted here show it running into the Secret Compartment rather than the glovebox (with a specially designed tray to put your iPod in). The pic in the accessories guide, on the other hand, show it running into the glove box.

If you've got it, how did they install it?

 

Be careful, you may be clever enough to install it, but the directions call for a plethora of disassembly of parts of the dash. Not for me thank you. In the end you need software that the dealer installs. Ask lots of questions from your service department. Mine cost $510 to install and program. There is not that much functionality for this amount of money. If you are a music fanatic and use your IPod as your primary source of music then it might be worth it. Yes, it lives in the glove box.

 

I'm not gonna install it myself. I just want to have the knowledge to direct my SA to install it the best way.
