When I use the pop up feature I have a very distinguished rattle over bumps from the rear sun roof - only in the pop up mode. I cannot detect any loose parts...

Any one else have this? Solutions - aside from going to the dealer?

 

mini is pretty quiet in the pop up position. the problem i have is when i have it in pop up mode, then try to close it, it keeps popping up again when it finally closes. I have to open the sun roof up completely and then close it for it not to want to pop up again when it closes.

MINI offers an "anti-rattle" kit and had it installed last Summer. However, I have taken it in to be fixed twice now. The second time, they could find no problem, yet, on my way home, it started rattling again. This leads me to guess that my "tester" is tone/sensation deaf.

 

I have to agree this years model when the pop up is open is alot more quieter and I think its has to do it pop up front and back now. I love that feature.

 

Why not go to the dealer? How about the rear seat belts? Tuck the buckles in and see. Is the noise coming from overhead? It may be a rattling wire.

 

Thanks - I will end up at the dealer 125 miles away in late May when Sirrius is available and will take care of it then. I cannot find any lose parts.
