ENOUGH already with the freaking credit card offers!!!

I don't mind getting the occasional email from MINI-USA about a special offer or event or new product announcement. Really I don't.

But I've gotten like 9 emails in the last 3 months about the MINI credit card. Seriously, if I wanted one I would have responded to one of the first 8 emails! :impatient

Sorry - I feel better now.

If they didn't spend so much on postage (sending me at least 2 offers a week, every week for the past 6 months), they could lower the price of each MINI by at least a grand.

And I thought MINI was a green company.

You're right - I wasn't even including the offers I get from MINI-USA in snail mail. I've gotten quite a few of those, too.

MINI. . . a GREEN company???

I can't imagine a car company that makes a tiny car with a tiny 1.6 liter engine that can barely get 20mpg ever being called green.

Pound per pound, my MCS is as bad as any Hummer we all complain about. . . maybe even worse. . .

But is sure as heck is fun to toss into a turn!

Haha, Danny at Mini Corsa was telling me a story about how (I think it was his dad) that used to take all the credit card offers he got in the mail and send them all back to the credit card companies in their prepaid envelopes with obscene messages written all over the applications, but he'd remove all traces of his name, so they wouldn't know who it was that was sending it, and they'd keep wasting money on the prepaid postage .

Even better. . . glue toe prepaid business reply card onto a box full of rocks. I remember people doing that with Exxon credit card offers after the oil spill in Alaska.

edit: don't actually do this. It is probably not going to work and you might somehow get into trouble. Find something better to do with your junk mail fueled rage.

I have a solution for you:

Get the card and don't use it. It doesn't cost you anything then.
Bonus: you get a conversation piece with a pretty picture of your MINI , and MINI-USA stops sending you junk mail about signing up for their credit card.

//Just remember to write INVALID on the back of your MINI credit card or you might be tempted to use it.

Down side: A bunch of open credit cards on your credit report lowers your score, if they are used or not. Most credit advisers will tell you to close out unused or old accounts so they don't show up on your credit report and lower your numbers.

On the bright side, put your dogs name on the application and see if they send a card to your pet!
