Now that you have your car, do you wish you had gotten another color?

I love my Oxygen blue/White MC, but whenever I see a CR/W I feel like knocking myself in the head and saying, "I shoulda had a Chili Red!". Anyone else thinking they wished they had gotten another color?

i'm still waiting for my R56 (Lightning Blue/Black), but i already have "ACR" anticipatory color remorse! i blame MINI for making so many excellent choices! for me, it came down to Lightning Blue, Laser Blue, or Chili Red, but after seeing a few LBs, i decided to go that route. (i had a CR R53 and loved it.)

now, if they made a flat (non-metallic) BRG, that would have been it for me. yeah, right!!

I don't have an R56, but I think this dilemma applies to all years. Just like most others, I wrestled with several different color combos and finally decided on AB/W. Every now and then I'll see a PW/B or HB/W and think, "Maybe I shoulda...", but then I look back at my MC and how unique the AB looks in the sunlight and am happy with my choice. I realize that I'd probably love it in any of the other colors, though! Just be happy with your choice. I think OB/W is an awesome color combo, probably destined to be quite rare and unique. It's the color combo I'd choose if I were getting an R56. Embrace and enjoy it!

Laser blue first caught my eye, but I ended up getting a Cooper. So, Lightning blue was the next (and at that time, the only) choice. I was afraid it would be darker than I wanted, but I love it! Everyone who sees it likes it, too. I like a lot of the other colors, but I knew I wanted a blue.

I ordered a Pure Silver MCS, but wish Nightfire Red had been available. Actually, I'd like to be able to change colors on a monthy basis...

Böhme -- great pics in your galllery! i can't wait to get my LB/B. when i saw both in person, i was struck that the LB was lighter than it looked in photos and that Laser Blue was a little darker. it was a hard choice between them.

Just picked up my Lightning Blue last night...

I was afraid that I was going to be disappointed (especially since I went with the same color roof) but I love it!

I went with Laser Blue/W and am satisfied, but flip-flopped on white vs silver wheels. I went with white, and will deal with the cleanliness issues. Second thoughts are part of the buying experience, especially for early buyers who only saw options through a configurator or on slightly misleading pictures on the internet.

I have a DS/B but am trying hard not to covet LB/B. What an awesome color I put the blame squarely on Helix. They posted pics of their car and that was that

Initially, I was concerned that the Pure Silver would be "too bright"...but with the black roof and mirrors...it looks Sweet!

No remorse here!

My wife says "Everyone should have a black car. Once." She had to have one, then it didn't take long before she hated it and had to get rid of it.

I don't even have my car yet and I've gone from thrilled to remorse over DS/B many times. Every time I see photos of new LB and SS cars, I wonder if we made the right choice. Also wish I could have nightfire red on an MCS. I'm sure I'll be thrilled once I have the car.

Yep! Thread moved.

I am very happy with my HB MINI... the only other color I seriously considered was BRG, but I already had a green car (still do), so I wanted something different.

Color choice can be quite the dilemma. My MCS LB/B is on order, June delivery. So far I'm still sold on it. I just added the chrome side mirrors and went back to black leatherette and anthracite headliner.

Daveco- I'm really looking forward to seeing your pics, after your MCS is delivered.

There's only been one or two MINI colors I didn't like in person, but, since I have seen all or most of them, I don't think I'll be pissadointed.

Hey Rennie,

Can you post some pictures of your OB/W MC? There aren't many OB pics here on NAM. I've been flipping back and forth between a MC and MCS, and one of the main reasons I'm considering the MC is the Oxygen Blue color. If I go MCS, I'm leaning towards PW/B, but that color combo just feels a little too common.

Thanks!

Don't get me wrong...I love my BRG/W, but every now and then I'm very fond of CR/B or DS/B. I like the CR for the "flash" factor, and the DS for the "stealthyness".

I love my CR/Silver. I didnt spec it but let my need for instantaneous gratification get the best of me and took it right off the lot, plus I was late to the party and wanted a 06. BUT.....I sometimes wish I had waited and got the CR/W. Its just such a classic look.
I think my all time favorite color though is EB/W. Love it!!! PW/B is a close second.

My first MC was PS/B, and I loved it, though I had to put in an aero grill and have the bottom grill powder coated black to finish the look. However, I very quickly wished I'd gotten an IB/W combo. When I made plans to get another MINI, I was sure it would be the blue, but the closer I got to ordering, and the more I looked at pictures of MINI's, especially lots in one place at a time, the more a chili red and white combo caught my eye. That's what I ended up getting, and I haven't regretted it one bit. I still love the look of a blue/white Cooper, but I'm very glad I went for the red and white. It's the color combo of the first new Cooper I saw back in '02, and it must have imprinted!

I love my Cool Blue cabrio. I don't wish it was different.

I just wish I could afford - and had space for - 2 or 3 OTHER MINIs in different colors. (One street coupe, one track coupe....)
