The Weirdest Thing

What's the weirdest thing you've done in a MINI and where?

Well, I haven't got my 2007 yet. I only had my 2004 briefly, so I don't have anything great. But, I went to a party at an associate's house, which was on wooded property. A lot of cars were there. I backed into a spot between 2 trees. When I returned to the car after the party, the trees were too close to the car, so I had to go in the boot. What has bothered me to this day is, I don't remember how I got out of the car to begin with.

Upon purchasing our 2nd MINI, the huzz and I needed to *cough* determine whether or not the armrest, shifter, and close proximity of the stearing wheel were going to impeed the ability to, errrrrrrrrr, how to say this w/o getting a nasty PM from an Admin.........enjoy the impromptu romantic act(s) while flying down the SoCal Freeways. We confirmed this the night we brought LilTiger home...in the driveway, and we've re-tested it several times since then. There's actually quite a bit of "head-room" in a MINI

Ok, I don't own one yet but I'm thinking of posing my dogs in the car as though they are driving around and snapping a few pictures. Maybe dress them up with hats and glasses or with a long scarf. Since when is sex in a car weird?

Good information. I may have to test it myself.

Agreed! It's an age old tradition dating back to the horse and buggy days. A horse is easier to put on auto-pilot than a car.

Did someone say sex?? Besides, there may be nothing weird about 15 clowns in a transport van, but it would be in a MINI. So, I can sex in a MINI being weird. My date at the time had to go through some pretty weird contortions in my C230 coupe.

OK, I got it. It's the a size thing that makes it weird. Now I'm imagining clowns having sex in a MINI. Now that would be weird!

Wierdest thing I can share is posing my dog in his doggles sitting in the driver's seat like he was driving. Wierdest thing I can't share is none of your beeswax

Not really weird but my wife and I with 200 other MINIs rode to the top of Mt Washington, NH last June. Very cool experience. Not weird, just cool.
Something will come up I'm sure to classify as weird. ;-)

I taught Xanthus to drive stick in my '03 MCS. Then I traded it in for an '05 MCS before the clutch & tranny could fall out of it.

While this wasn't in a MINI, it was the silliest thing I think I ever did in a motor vehicle... strapped a full sized sofa to the top of my 1979 Corolla 2-door (in 1989, in college) with twine and drove completely across Washington, D.C. in city traffic to get the sofa back to my dorm. You should've seen the looks we got!!! The sofa was 2 feet longer than the car! (And it wasn't even my sofa.)

I know someone* that farted in their MINI, stepped outside, and left an unsuspecting passenger** in it with the windows up and without the ability to open a door because it was extremely windy/dusty outside.

*not me
**might be me
