Sport Seats, How Do They Fit?

Firstly, I'm a big guy, 6 ft, 250 lbs. I had a VW Beetle Sport (turbo with sport seats and suspension). Liked the car OK, but the side bolsters in the seat part dug into me pretty good. I will of course check this out at the dealer from whom I will order, but that won't be for a little while yet.

In the mean time, are there any big guys like me who can give me an idea of how the sport seats fit?

Thanks,
Fred

I'm 6'2'' around fluctuating between 195 and 205... no problems here...except they're so supportive my wallet digs into my **** when driving...

wallet is destined for the secret cubbyhole if MINI ever gets that opened :(

I'm about the same size as you, 6' 250#'s and I test drove a MCS with sport seats and they were pretty comfortable for me.

Thanks for the responses. So the sport seats might be reasonable for me to consider. At least until I try them out at the dealer's place. I'm sensitive to this issue because of the three years I spent in that VW feeling those bolsters digging into my legs. That was not pleasant, and I really didn't notice it when I test drove the car. It won't get by me again though.

Try them and then see what you think. I'm 6'3" 230 pounds and have them in my car. With some people I suspect those bolsters help keep them from sliding around on the seat very much. With my somewhat wider buttox, I guarantee I won't slide around one iota, but it's not uncomfortably tight. But .. if I was a bit wider, chances are those bolsters would result in two point contact leaving fresh air to circulate where normally it would not.

I am 6'2", 192 lbs. The sport seats fit me perfectly. I like them alot more than the old MINI seats. I have the checkered cloth, and it looks great too.

My advice would be to test them out. You could always trade the sport seats to a Cooper owner who was looking for them.

I'm a small woman so I have no problems fitting in the sports seat. But my Mother who is in her late 70's is having some difficulty getting out of the passenger seat because of the bolster. I know that wasn't your question, but I just wanted to point that out.

6'3" 270lbs.

No problemo.

My WRX has aggressive bolsters and they fit very well too.

The checkered cloth looks great and grips you as you motor on those "twisties."

I'm a wee bit shorter and a wee bit heavier than Downforce, and I fit fine.
