Ordered RC/B Cooper S almost two weeks ago. Wasn't sure about leatherette but most people here seem to be okay with it. It's fully loaded minus sun roof and stick shift (sorry). Cann't wait.

 

I don't think you need to apologize for getting an automatic. For some of us, that's just the right way to go. The car is still a ton o' fun to drive even w/o manual .

 

I've heard that the auto is actually quicker than the stick (can shift faster).

No MCS auto was available to test drive before I ordered. So I tried driving a GTI to see what I thought of paddle shifters. It was efficient, but seemed like push-button driving. I think I'll have more fun with the manual 6 speed.

 

Picked up my Chili Red/Black MCS with Auto last friday. Most fun car I drove ever. I was fearing the decision to get automatic but I think it's the right call.

^^ that's the color combo I think I like the best right now. I saw it on a '07 convertible at the auto show yesterday and I really dig the red/black.

 

Which do you like best, Chili Red or Red Chili ?

 

This is my 2nd CR/B MCS and I love the color combo (obviously!) I also added red and black reverse sport stripes to mine....red and black all the way!!

 

Congrats on your order and from what I've read in the car mags, the auto in the R53 is supposed to work GREAT
