Very new Mini owner here (actually the wife's car). Just picked up a used Chili Red '06 MCS Cabrio and I'm looking for some opinions/pics regarding painting.

I have an aero kit coming and I definitely plan to paint the wheel arches at the same time. At first I only considered painting them Chili Red, but now I'm thinking of going with a gloss black. The A-pillars are already this color and the car has black hood stripes and a black top, so I think that it may look pretty good.

Anyone have pics of a two-tone paint paint job with the wheel arches?

I'm also considering painting the mirror bases at the same time (red or black depending on the wheel arch color). I'm going to leave the chrome caps. Has anyone bothered with this?

I guess the overall plan is to eliminate all flat black plastic surfaces (except grills). Just looking for opinions and any pics to help me decide.
