Are the dealer installed chrome tips for MCS worth it?

Has anyone added (or seen) the dealer installed chrome tips for MCS? I have them on my list of dealer installed options, but am wondering if it will be money 'well spent'. Are they much different than the stock chrome tips?
Thanks.

There was a picture of them on this forum somewhere. If I recall correctly, he was not overly fond of them.

i have them and like them quite a lot. they stick out past the bumper a little and are larger. The tail pipe hole is still the same size if not a little smaller, because of the way they attach. but overall, it looks like a new exhaust system. Considering you save 500-900 dollars depending on exhaust, this is a great deal. Personally, I think the stock exhaust sounds great.

and install them yourself. it's super easy. all you need is a 3mm allen wrench and some loctite. takes 10 minutes to install. Fills up that nasty space in the rear valence of the bumper. looks agressive. great deal for around 100 bucks

Go online to moristown mini and save your self ten bucks. i dont think it would cost more than 5 bucks to ship it. or even ask your mini dealer to give them to you at $45 or you will buy them there. http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=5277
Here is the link
Just my opinion
I think i am going to get the MC one for my car when it comes.

Here's a pic shamelessly snagged from flickr.

http://www.influxofdust.com/R56/tips2.jpg

Aaagh -- didn't see that there was a pic available. Anyway, that U-divot thing does get sooty. Cleans up easy enough, but of course any crease or crevice on a tailpipe is going to collect soot.

Hmmm... good point and something to consider. I'm a little neurotic about dirt.

If you really want an opinion, the answer is no. Chrome tips are of no value--to me. However, if you like them, get a set.
