2007 MCS - Will a 15" Wheel Fit

Hi all,

I've gotten some great information from this board and I'd like some more.

Will 15" Wheels fit on a 2007 MCS?

I ordered Bridge Spokes with all season tires and plan to use them as winter tires.

I want to get a set of wheels with non-run flat tires for use the rest of the year.

I like the looks of the ASA AR1's, but they are 17X7 and I'd rather have lighter wheels. 16s would be good and I'd even consider 15's if they fit.

I have a DS with black roof and mirrors so wheels with a gloss black center and polished lip would look really good. I'm looking for an "unbusy" design with a smooth uninterupted lip (no 'overhang' from spokes, etc. out onto the lip).

I'll likely the lower the car some at some point. I'm thinking only .75 to 1".

If anyone has suggestions for wheels or knows the answer to the 15" guestion I'd really appreciate your input.

Thanks,

Mark

15s will definitely fit (unless you have JCW brakes?)

The '07s have what are essentially JCW brakes, so I don't think 15" will fit. I believe only a selection of the R53 16" rims will fit as well.

Mark,

The R56 MCS comes with brakes that are essentially the R53 JCW brakes. This means that *only some* 15" wheels will fit on the R56 MCS.

I know goaljnky is running 15" Kosei TS-1 wheels on an R53 MCW with JCW brakes.

We (locobrit and myself) tested a couple sets of my 15's on his 07 MCS. 15x7 (+38) Kosei K1 Racing and 15x8 (+36) 949racing 6UL: both will clear the front brakes, not much extra clearance on the K1's, but they fit. On the rear, the 15x7's just barely cleared the trailing arm, and the 15x8's will require some sort of spacer, but they also require a spacer on my R53.
