Turbo Timer

Hey, so my friend was saying that now since the mini is turbocharged, that i should let my car idle for a min and half with the heat blowing when i turn it off to pull the heat away from the turbo and the cooler. Now the turbo timer ruffly does the same thing by keeping your car idle for a set amount of time after you turn it off. How necessary is this?

Search "turbo timer" for the long version.

But in short... no, not necessary.

Yes. You don't have to do that with this auto. It's a development thing.

Haha I could be wrong and apologies if i am, but I think he just mean auto as automobile. You dont need to go through the cool down process as the car itself is set to cool down after shutting off. Like msh442 said, you can search if you want the long story. Thanks
Bryan
