205/45/17 to 215/45/17?

I have 205/45/17 Dunlop runflats fitted on R-90 17 inch rims on my 2005 Chili Red S convertible with the JCW upgrade....after 18,000 mile they are worn out.

I want to avoid the runflats tires (harsh ride, and just bought a new set for the wife's Mini so I have no money), but in the brands I am looking at, the sizes don't include 205/45.

Advice on getting 215/45...or 205/40.....or 205/50 sizes? Ie, will these different sizes fit?

I have ran BFG KDW2 in 215/40/17 and I am running Falken 512s in 215/45/17 and haven't any problems at all. I had the car lowered with KDWs and did not rub.

I just had 215/45-17's installed on my MCS today. I have the Texas Speedworks Sport suspension, lowered about 3/4" relative to stock - no rubbing as best I can tell.

The ride is definitely smoother, one of the things I was looking for.
